Here is a glimpse of the areas that I have experience supporting clients in. If you have questions about specific issues that I can help you with, please reach out.

Anxiety
Do you worry all the time? Are you concerned that if something can go wrong, it will? Do you retreat from or avoid certain situations because you are nervous about what will happen? Anxiety can be with us from childhood or it can be a recent development. However long you’ve suffered from it, I can help you find strategies to manage it so that you can engage in the life that anxiety is holding hostage.

Chronic Illness & Chronic Pain
Chronic illness is more than being sick. It’s a range of symptoms that can cause a fraught relationship with our body. Bad pain days can make us cancel plans or call in sick to work. At the same time, others in our lives, from loved ones to doctors, may find it difficult to understand what we’re enduring. I can help you advocate for yourself in different contexts and find new ways of living with and managing symptoms and pain.

Depression & Hopelessness
Depression can look like a lot of things. Sadness, certainly, but also feeling numb. Withdrawn. Exhausted. Believing that nothing will get better. That there’s no point in trying. Depression can have a chokehold on our lives or it can be episodic or seasonal. Whichever way it manifests for you, I am here to help you figure out ways of working through it and techniques for keeping it at bay.

LGBTQIA+
It is a difficult time to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community, even if we come from accepting and supportive families, and especially when we don’t. The attacks on trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people can take an enormous toll on one’s mental health. Whether you are exploring your sexual and/or gender identity, coming out, transitioning, or supporting a loved one while they transition, I am here to offer you the support and resources you need.

Life Transitions
When something changes in our lives, we are required to change, too. Even when the change is positive, that doesn’t make it easy. Life transitions can include moving to a new place, going off to college or graduating (or having a child or partner go to college), losing one’s job or landing a new one, the end of a relationship, the death of a loved one, taking on a new role in your family, and much more. I can support you as you grapple with the changes you are facing and find a way to move forward.

Loneliness & Isolation
Just because we live in a highly connected world doesn’t mean we feel connected. We can be surrounded by others and yet feel completely alone. We can feel like we don’t belong or like no one understands us or that we have no one to talk to. I can help you deal with these feelings and develop meaningful ways of connecting with others, step-by-step.

Self-Esteem & Self-Confidence
Our self-esteem and self-confidence can be decimated by adverse experiences or even by people who should care about and support us. We all need to feel valued and capable to thrive. I can work with you and help you find the tools to develop the healthy sense of self-esteem and self-confidence that you deserve.

Stress & Overwhelm
Life can throw a lot at us sometimes. It can be hard to know what to do when everything feels urgent and we’re utterly drained of energy. Whether you need help strategizing or knowing when to say “no” to new responsibilities, I can support you in learning how to cope with the challenges you’re facing and cultivate a sustainable way of life.

Trauma & PTSD
Trauma isn’t just a bad memory. It haunts us by making us feel small and powerless or constantly under threat. It can hold us back from living fulfilling lives, and it can impede our relationships and dreams. Whatever the cause(s), I am here to validate your pain and experiences and support you to feel empowered and safe in your body and mind.

Women's Issues
From sexual health to pregnancy, PCOS to breast cancer, and miscarriage to menopause, this category includes a range of heavy issues. Yet it’s still taboo to talk about anything messy that has to do with bodies, especially when a uterus is involved. This can make it awkward to discuss with partners and even doctors. It can make us feel like we are carrying our grief and fear alone. I am here to support you as you navigate sexual and reproductive issues.
